City Academy Trivia Night Raises Record Funds For Scholarship Program!
March 26, 2018

Are you smarter than a fifth grader? Over 500 people attended City Academy’s sixth annual Trivia Night on March 3, 2018, to test their smarts and prove their knowledge! This event was held at a new location, John Burroughs School, to accommodate the growth in attendance.

All proceeds from the event go directly to our Scholarship Program, providing scholarships to 100% of our students. By the end of the night, over $64,000 was raised for our young scholars, which will provide six scholarships to our students.

This successful event is organized and coordinated each year by our wonderful Friends Committee, a group of young professionals dedicated to transforming the St. Louis community through education.  The Friends Committee, a group of more than 20 people, is dedicated to cultivating new relationships with individuals and organizations throughout the St. Louis community. Through these relationships, the committee hopes to cultivate new friends and donors of City Academy.

City Academy President and Co-Founder, Don Danforth III, is grateful for the Friends Committee’s dedication and support of the school.

“City Academy is fortunate to have a great group of volunteers and community partners who help us transform the St. Louis community through education every day. Because of the dedication and efforts of the community, events such as Trivia Night provide scholarship support to our 185 students. We are grateful to have such vast community support that allows us to provide scholarship support to every young scholar at City Academy.” -Don Danforth III
