Extended Day & Summer Programs Coordinator
“Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education.”
Kimberli J. Wilson is a graduate of University of Missouri-St. Louis who holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications. As the Extended Day and Summer Programs Coordinator at City Academy, her essential duties include coordinating all after school activities during the academic school year and all programs for summer school. Kimberli is responsible for interviewing, hiring maintaining and supervising a team of fifteen Extended Day staff.
Over the past 20 years Kimberli has worked diligently to help our youth both appreciate and understand their worth, while exposing them to new ideas and possibilities such as STEAM careers. She has spoken to thousands of students in over 100 schools on topics inclusive of conflict resolution, anger management, healthy relationships and inclusion and diversity. Kimberli’s favorite quote is “Intelligence plus character-that is the goal of true education,” and she believes that not only do we want “our” babies to excel academically but we want them to be genuinely good people. Kimberli is an avid reader and a published editor who enjoys volunteering with kids either reading, serving in the Next Generation ministry at her church, or mentoring young girls at Great Circle Changing Prisms camp.
