Dear City Academy,
Well, I now have a high school graduate! Alexis will be attending Mizzou in the fall.
I want to thank you for your dedication, love and support to City Academy students and more personally Alexis during her time there and while she was at Whitfield. Your consistent presence year after year and involvement with the students go well beyond your call of duty and we are so grateful to you for really caring about them.
Mr. Danforth, it is because you believed the “inner city” students could excel just as much as others if given the opportunity of a private education that Alexis can say she’s a Whitfield graduate. City Academy was the beginning of a new beginning for us. The opportunities that Alexis has had simply because of where she attended school has been remarkable. There are no words to sum up the education received, the friendships made, the classroom experiences, the community involvement or the social etiquette that has become a normal part of Alexis life because of your vision. I want to thank you for believing in us and pray that you will continually be blessed.

Alexis Hubbard (City Academy 2008)
