Extended Day Activities Registration is OPEN! Activities start August 21. Registration will take place entirely online through ALMA. As always, slots for each activity are limited. You will be asked to rank the choices for your child. Please be sure to read the details of each activity below to make sure you child is eligible for the activity before signing them up. Questions? To register for Extended Day Activities, please follow these steps:
- Login to ALMA at cityacademyschool.getalma.com.
- Find your student’s name and locate the tab ALMA Start Forms and Task.
- Click ALMA Start Forms and Task which will take you to your ALMA Start account. On the left-hand side, click the student’s name and then Begin New Process.
- Find the school year 2023-2024 and select the student’s current grade. The form Q1 Extended Day Activities form will populate and you will click SELECT.
- Once the form is complete, don’t forget to SUBMIT!
Activity Offerings
Baking Class
Learn basic baking techniques while making breads, cookies, muffins, scones and cakes from scratch.

Schoolyard Games
In this program, kids will be introduced to all types of playground/backyard games like: Mat ball, Pickleball, Sharks-and-Minnows, Freeze Tag, Boulder Roll, and MANY MORE! It is recess meets PE meets the park meets neighborhood games. Tie those shoes tight because we’ll be moving and shaking every Tuesday!

Homework Club
In this structured environment, students will work quietly on homework across all subjects. While this is not a mandatory study hall, if your child is having trouble completing homework, this may be a great opportunity to focus on meeting deadlines and asking for assistance as needed.

STAGES
Join STAGES St. Louis for a fun production-based class performing Disney’s Aristocats the Musical. Based on the beloved Disney animated film, and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, this musical is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun for all, complete with unbelievable twists and turns.
In the heart of Paris, a kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensue as the greedy, bumbling butler pulls off the ultimate catnap caper. Now it’s up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat, Thomas O’Malley, and his band of swingin’ jazz cats to save the day.

Choir
The purpose of this ensemble is to give students a creative outlet in which to expand their musical knowledge and skills, to connect with others and themselves through music and performance, and to experience what it is like to be part of a formal choir. Students will be expected to attend all rehearsals.
