Fourth Quarter Extended Day Opportunities

Fourth Extended Day Activities Registration is OPEN! Activities start week of April 1. Registration will take place entirely online through GOOGLE FORMS. As always, slots for each activity are limited. You will be asked to rank the choices for your child. Please be sure to read the details of each activity below to make sure you child is eligible for the activity before signing them up. Questions? Art Class

Art experiences include painting, working with clay, and pastels.

Learn basic baking techniques while making breads, cookies, muffins, scones and cakes from scratch.

Basketball (They’re Playin’ Basketball)

Enhancing fundamental skills of basketball. Learning plays, the art of screening for teammates, cutting to the basket, proper defensive stance, form shooting, etc.

Calling all young fitness enthusiasts! Get ready to break a sweat and have a blast at our Elementary FitCamp Xtreme—an extended day boot camp designed for elementary students who love to move and groove! From heart-pumping workouts and team challenges to fun fitness games, this program is the ultimate blend of exercise and excitement. Watch your child boost their strength, coordination, and confidence while making new friends in a high-energy, supportive environment. Enroll in FitCamp Xtreme for an extended day of fitness fun!

Youth Leadership Institute

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Youth Leadership and Empowerment Series is a dynamic after-school program spanning April 3rd – May 15th, designed to foster leadership and personal growth in youth. It comprises three modules: Foundations of Leadership and Success, focusing on growth mindset, goal setting, and civic awareness; Engagement in Exploration, Discovery, and Self-Expression, which includes career exploration, cultural exposure, and life skills experience; and Using the Power of Purpose to Drive Success, emphasizing community service, environmental projects, and a final presentation of participants’ journeys. Through a variety of activities ranging from creative arts to practical life skills, the program aims to empower young individuals to become confident, socially aware leaders.
